Dum Maaro Dum
Goa: A paradise on earth. But every paradise has few snakes – the story plot of Dum Maaro Dum grooves in search of those snakes hissing in roots of Goa i.e. an inglorious drug mafia residing and dealing in Goa.
Directed by Rohan Sippy, the star cast of film includesAbhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu as Zoe, Aditya Pancholi as Lorsa Biscuta, Rana Daggubati as DJ Joki, Monty Munford as Alexis, Prateik Babbar as Lorry and Govind Namdeo as Rane. Abhishek Bachchan is featured as ACP Vishnu Kamath who strives to decipher the dark secrets of that notorious drug mafia. Though Vishnu Kamath had been a corrupt cop dealing with bribe but in a car accident when his family dies, he turns to be a faithful police officer. He arrests Goa-based Lawrence Eduardo Gomes at the air port who attempts to smuggle cocaine. This arrest not only connects him to politically-supported drug-dealers but chains to international gangsters too who freely use to operate in Goa.
It was due to this sensitive issue Dum Maaro Dum (DMD) became controversial before release but its thrilling story line, action filled drama and forceful dialogues kept audience intact and enjoying whole story line with a spice added by sizzling Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone who shakes her loin on remix version of old hit "Dum Maro Dum, Mit Jaey Gum”.
